Introducing the new "Chief" in the range - the Numzaan Boot.
We are delighted to introduce the Numzaan boot - crafted with the Jim Green touch for the highest quality, comfort, and formality for any occasion.
Derived from the Zulu word "Numzaan," meaning "head of a family" or "leader," we proudly present the Numzaan boot as the esteemed "Chief" in the Jim Green collection. Inspired by the Baobab boot, it conveys a traditional feel and features the new vegetable-tanned leather, making it Jim Green's most stylish boot yet.
- Material: Double-layer Nubuck leather (2.2mm oiled Nubuck leather, lined with 1.6mm calfskin)
- Water resistance: A double layer of leather contributes to the boot's water-repellent properties; when properly greased, the boot is waterproof.
- Toe cap: Genuine leather toe cap with integrated kiltie leather for added look and durability.
- Toe, heel, and eyelet area: Made from a double layer of 2.2mm thick Nubuck leather for added durability.
- Heel and toe stiffeners for added durability, support, and protection.
- Steel shank between insole and sole provides additional support and stability.
- The leather insole, leather midsole, and resin outsole provide additional comfort and durability.
- Heavy-duty speed hooks and eyelets to secure your feet.
- Construction: Double-stitch construction. The leather midsole is attached to the upper with a double-stitched 2.2mm braided nylon cord.
- Resoleable: Like all Jim Green boots, these can be resoled indefinitely due to their construction.
- Last: ASHM – Standard D width.
- Sizing: True to size
- Outsole: Frog Grip sole.
- Made in South Africa
The Numzaan boot features a double-layered upper (2.2mm lined with 1.2mm calfskin), which is then rounded off with a genuine toe cap, giving this boot over 5mm of leather at the toes. The heel and toe areas are also reinforced with thermoplastic toe puffs for added support. In addition, there is an ankle-high lacing system and a gusseted tongue. This unique gusseted tongue ensures less pressure on the laces when the boots need to be pulled a little tighter. The ASHM last allows for a "fashionable" look while still accommodating a wider foot. But the good news doesn't end there: we've gone a step further and incorporated a leather gusset, a leather midsole, and a resin outsole (over 8mm of leather in total), which gradually molds to the shape of your feet. All of this is combined with the innovative Frog Grip sole.
