What size am I?

  • Stand vertically on a piece of paper and trace your feet. Then measure the maximum length in cm and determine your UK size
  • Please do not add anything to this. Yes, your foot needs some space because the foot moves in the shoe as it rolls. This has already been taken into account in the table when converting.
  • If you have wide feet, you don't need to add anything, as almost all Jim Green shoes are already wide. Wide width EE (almost all Jim Green models). Normal width D (e.g. Shoellie, Baobab, Numzaan) .
  • Please call us if you have any doubts. Shop with peace of mind as you can exchange your size at any time.

What soles are there?

Here is an explanation of all Jim Green soles. You can find out which sole this model comes with in the item description.

JG Sole – This sole is our lugged variant and was developed for grip. It is made of real rubber and feels firm to provide stability underfoot. The JG Natural Rubber option is softer, but still offers the same properties. Best suited for loose gravel surfaces, rocky terrain, uneven terrain, and challenging landscapes.

OR Sole – This sole is designed for a combination of grip, comfort, and speed. It is made of real rubber and offers a softer feel for greater walking comfort. Best suited for sandy areas, long days on your feet, fast hikes, urban areas. A great lightweight hiker.

BR Sole – This sole is our all-rounder option and was developed for durability in urban and outdoor environments. It is made of real natural rubber and has a firm grip to provide stability underfoot. Best suited for days between office and outdoor activities.

FA Sole – This sole is our lightweight comfort variant and was developed for comfort and a slimmer look. It is made of a real, soft rubber compound and feels softer and more comfortable. Best suited for relaxed days in the city or light hikes and camping trips.

KH Sole – This sole is designed not to pick up mud and dirt during your daily activities, hence its "flat" design. It is made of real rubber and feels firm to provide stability underfoot. Best suited for muddy ground or sandy areas.

ANV Sole - The Anvil sole is designed to mimic the feel of barefoot walking on any terrain, while providing extra grip and protection. A sole without any reinforcement or stiffening.

TW Sole - This sole is our Tyre Wedge option and is designed for grip and comfort. It is a real rubber sole with a softer rubber compound to provide the best all-around performance.

Which moldings are there?

This section explains the different lasts. You can find out which last this model has in the item description.

  • JG last = EEE width

Jim Green last. Very wide fit, normal toe box height. Toe cap reinforced with thermoplastic. E.g.: Razorback, AR08. If you have wide feet, this is your last. If you have normal or narrow feet, take half to a full size smaller or switch to a shoe with an ASHM last.

  • ZD last = EEE width

Zero Drop last. Very wide fit, normal toe box height. Unstructured construction without reinforcement. All Barefoot Boots. If you have wide feet, this is your last. If you have normal or narrow feet, take half to a full size smaller or switch to a shoe with an ASHM last.

  • STC last = EE width.

Steel Toe Cap last. Wide fit, high toe box. Originally developed for shoes with steel toe caps to create more space for the steel toe cap in the toe box, this last is now also used in other models without a steel toe cap. Like the JG last, but a touch narrower (EE width). If you have wide feet, this is also your last. If you have normal or narrow feet, take half to a full size smaller or switch to a shoe with an ASHM last.

  • ASHM last = D width

Ashley Men last. Normal fit, normal toe box height. Toe cap reinforced with thermoplastic. E.g.: Numzaan, Schollie. Normal width last, higher instep. If you have normal or narrow feet, this is your last. If you have wide feet, take half to a full size larger or switch to a shoe with a JG, ZD or STC last.

The Bush War Boot – born in battle, shaped by history, built for the bush.

Inspired by the legendary combat boots worn by soldiers in Africa's Bush Wars, the Bush War Boot is a tribute to decades of robust field practice – evolved for the modern outdoor enthusiast.

This boot brings the past into the present – with military-proven functionality, durable, locally sourced leather, and a construction that relies on tradition.
A boot for those who demand more – whether on duty, at the shooting range, or in everyday life with tough demands.

Made from high-quality leather and reinforced in high-wear areas, the Bush War Boot offers exceptional breathability and resilience.
A double leather layer at the heel, an integrated canvas layer in the toe area, and thermoplastic reinforcement provide stability and protection – without sacrificing comfort.

Its distinctive double-strap system at the ankle is more than just a visual highlight:
It offers proven advantages – additional ankle stability, protection from dirt, and a custom fit that adapts with wear.

Inside, a wooden shank provides the necessary structure for long periods on foot, while an integrated leather heel pad ensures noticeable comfort with every step.

The Bush War Boot is completed by a surrounding double stitchdown construction and a fully gusseted tongue –
